Samsung Galaxy Note 9 South Africa Release: What We Know So Far
The latest in the line of Samsung Galaxy Note series phones is just a few days from launch. There are many rumors going on about the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 South Africa Release . Let’s take a look at the speculations and round up what we know so far.
Release Date
It has been confirmed by Samsung that the Note 9 will be unveiled on August 9th at the Samsung Unpacked event to be held in New York. This will be the first time we will be able to see the phone in person and learn about it from Samsung directly. The Samsung US website is already allowing pre-registering for the next Galaxy. On the website it guarantees delivery by the 24th of August.
Specifications
There are any rumors about what the Note 9 will sport for performance. News states that the Note 9’s screen will up to 6.38”, which is bigger than its predecessor-the Note 8. In terms of design it is expected to follow the general trend of bezel less screens and still have a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. This is also confirmed by a picture posted on Twitter by Evan Bass. The picture also shows the colors the device will be available in i.e. blue with yellow Stylus, black with black stylus and brown also with a matching stylus.
While Apple has ditched Touch ID reports state that Samsung is not ready to do that just yet.
In a video that got accidently posted to Samsung New Zealand’s official YouTube page it was revealed that the phone will come in a 512GB version as well as have support for a 512GB SD card, allowing up to 1TB of storage on a mobile device.
Price
There are various reports on how the device will be priced. Some stating that this will be Samsung’s most expensive device yet-going up to $1400 for the 512GB version, while the basic 128GB version will be about $1200. However, a more recent leak corrected these reports, stating that the device will start of at a much more reasonable $900 mark.
To sweeten the deal, Samsung may be offering a “value” bundle that contains a pair of AKG wireless headphones, an HDMI cable, a car charger and a car mount. The pricing of this bundle is not known, though it will probably be around 100$ to 150$ more than the device alone. In addition, Fortnite for Android may be a timed exclusive for the Note 9.
